The all-round refuelling solution tailored to your service station
We are the third-largest national operator
Top services for your service station
We work with both independent service stations and chains and groups that manage multiple sites. In both cases, we design the charging infrastructure with your current business in mind, rather than as a separate project that disrupts your operations.
Whether it’s to comply with regulations, improve profitability or set yourself apart from the competition, this is what Etecnic360 offers to help you install charging facilities at your service station.
Do you bill for over +10M litres a year?
The Sustainable Mobility Act (RDL 18/2026) requires you to install a charging station with a minimum capacity of 400 kW, including a 150 kW continuous charging point, within 21 months. We’ll tell you if this applies to you.
Frictionless top-up, no app required
Your casual customer isn’t going to download an app just for ten minutes. The payment terminal allows you to fill up and pay directly, just like at a traditional petrol pump.
Solar energy that reduces your bill
We combine charging with our own solar power generation. At the LOW COST by WEIDERAUTO ELECTRIC charging station, a 375 kWp solar array generates over 400,000 kWh a year.
24/7 maintenance and security
Remote monitoring and an anti-theft cable alarm system, so your station is always up and running without you having to manage it yourself.
Charging infrastructure that grows with your service station
Installing charging points isn’t just about complying with regulations: it’s a new source of income and another reason for electric vehicle drivers to stop at your premises. With Etecnic360, we manage the entire process, from the initial assessment to maintenance.
EVcharge and the payment terminal: comply with regulations seamlessly for your customers
From 1 January 2027, all publicly accessible charging points with a capacity of 50 kW or more must accept card or contactless payments, without the need for prior registration or an app. This is required by the European AFIR Regulation (EU 2023/1804) and applies to both new charging points and those already in place.
- A single terminal, without a card reader on each payment terminal
- Hardware-neutral — works with any manufacturer
- Centralised payment from several locations at once
- It also complies with the Spanish RD 184/2022
For you
Monitor in real time which chargers are in use, any incidents and billing, without having to check each terminal.
For your customer
Scan, pay and charge in minutes: by card, contactless or using the EVcharge app.

Success cases
Frequently asked questions about installing electric vehicle charging stations at service stations.
Am I obliged to install charging points at my service station?
It depends on your turnover. If your service station sells 10 million litres of petrol and A-grade diesel or more per year, the Sustainable Mobility Act (as amended by RDL 18/2026) requires you to install a charging unit with a capacity of at least 400 kW, including a charging point with a minimum DC capacity of 150 kW. You have 21 months from the date of publication of the official decision naming your station.
At Etecnic, we assess whether your petrol station is subject to this requirement and handle the entire process, from the initial assessment through to commissioning.
What do the regulations stipulate regarding the payment methods that must be available at the charging point?
If your charging point is publicly accessible and has a capacity of 50 kW or more, the European AFIR Regulation requires you to accept card or contactless payments, without the need for prior registration or an app. This has already been mandatory for new charging points since April 2024, and will also apply to those you already have installed from 1 January 2027.
The EVcharge payment kiosk meets this requirement in a single terminal, without the need to install a card reader at each charging point.
Do my customers need an app to top up?
No. With the EVcharge payment terminal, you can top up by scanning a QR code and paying by card or contactless, without having to create an account. If you prefer the EVcharge app, you can also use it to link the charge to your mobile and monitor the process from there.
The EVcharge payment terminal meets this requirement in a single device, without the need to install a card reader on each charging point.
How does the installation of these points affect the contracted power?
To avoid any issues, it is important to contract a power supply that matches the demand.
At a service station, peaks in consumption depend on road traffic, and the fast or ultra-fast charging required by a passing customer demands much more power all at once than a conventional charging point.
Therefore, if your station is going to offer fast charging, it is essential to get the contracted power capacity right from the start. Not just for day-to-day use, but with peak traffic times in mind.
At Etecnic, we carry out this study before installing anything, to ensure you don’t end up paying too much for an incorrectly sized power supply or, conversely, find yourself short of power at times of peak demand.
How much does it cost to install electric vehicle chargers?
The cost varies greatly depending on how many charging points you install, the power you require, and whether your station already has sufficient electrical capacity or needs to be upgraded. A conventional charging point is not the same as a fast-charging unit required to comply with petrol station regulations.
That’s why we don’t rely on generic estimates: at Etecnic, we carry out a free preliminary study that takes into account your location, expected traffic and your current electrical installation, to provide you with a quote tailored to your specific situation before you make any decisions.
How profitable could it be to install an electric charging point at my service station?
Charging does not replace fuel sales; it complements them: an electric vehicle driver who stops to charge usually also makes use of the station’s shop, car wash or café whilst they wait. Furthermore, the sale of energy itself generates new revenue.
In the initial study we carry out at Etecnic, we analyse the traffic and location of your station to provide you with a realistic forecast before you invest.
What financial support is available to help fund the installation?
There are public and private funding schemes for charging infrastructure, such as the MOVES Scheme, although their availability and conditions vary with each call for applications. At Etecnic, we check which funding schemes are currently available for your project and assist you with the application and justification process.
