Sustainable Electrified Transport Workshop at the Port of Tarragona

On May 6, Etecnic hosted the Sustainable Electrified Transport Workshop at the Port of Tarragona, a one-day event focused on the electrification of both heavy and light transport. The event brought together electric vehicle manufacturers, charging solution providers, transport operators, companies and industry professionals to share experiences, present real-world case studies and discuss the main challenges of the transition towards more sustainable mobility.

What did attendees experience?

Charging and driving demonstrations: attendees had the opportunity to experience electric charging and driving technologies firsthand alongside leading manufacturers such as FOTON TRUCKS, OHM, FORD, ZEROID, FLOOX, NIDEC and XCHARGE. Conferences and panel discussions: industry leaders and experts discussed the present and future of electric transport while presenting real-world success stories from companies and transport operators already managing electric vehicle fleets. These sessions featured representatives from AEDIVE, Empresas por la Movilidad Sostenible, AGRUCAES, Movertis, Sertrans and Calzina Carré. Lunch and networking: the event also provided an opportunity to connect with industry professionals, exchange ideas and create new business relationships in a relaxed environment.

Electric vehicle demonstrations and charging solutions

One of the workshop’s main attractions was the opportunity to test electric vehicles and discover a range of charging technologies designed for heavy-duty, light commercial and professional transport. The live demonstrations allowed participants to gain practical insights into how these solutions work and how they can be implemented across fleets, transport companies and logistics operators.

Conferences and real-world electrification case studies

The programme included conferences and panel discussions focused on the implementation of electric mobility in professional transport. Attendees learned from companies and transport operators that have already incorporated electric vehicles into their fleets, while discussions covered charging infrastructure, energy management, operational feasibility and decarbonisation strategies.
