Etecnic, recognized as Best SME at the 2025 International Mobility Awards for its Smart Pricing project in the ultrafast charging HUB
Etecnic has been recognized as the best private company – SME in the 5th edition of the International Mobility Awards, organized by Empresas por la Movilidad Sostenible, with the endorsement of the Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility, the Ministry for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge, the CONAMA Foundation, and the Royal Academy of Engineering.
This award honors the development of projects such as Smart Pricing, a technological solution designed by Etecnic to optimize the profitability and energy efficiency of electric vehicle charging infrastructures. The system allows prices to be adjusted dynamically based on demand, contracted power, and the availability of renewable energy, integrating with the EVcharge management platform to offer a comprehensive, intelligent, and sustainable solution.
One of the most representative projects where this innovation will be applied is the WEIDERAUTO ELECTRIC Ultrafast Charging Hub, which will be launched soon. This hub, powered by solar energy, will feature 9 ultrafast chargers (8 of 120 kW and 1 of 180 kW) and will prevent up to 1,200 kg of CO₂ per day, offering a charging experience optimized both in energy efficiency and quality of service.
During the award ceremony held in Madrid, Etecnic’s CEO, Jorge Ríos Cortés, stated:
“This award represents a motivation and a momentum. A recognition that gives us even more strength to keep innovating and helping with comprehensive electric mobility projects, with technology, sustainability, and a long-term vision.”
“And we want to claim something we firmly believe in: SMEs are the engine of innovation that Europe needs.”
Based in Reus and with over a decade of experience, Etecnic has established itself as the 3rd largest electric vehicle charging operator in Spain, currently managing more than 16,000 charging points. The company is committed to a development model based on proximity, technical expertise, and sustainability, offering turnkey solutions for public administrations, companies, and private operators.
Furthermore, Etecnic has played a key role in the ProMEC project in Cape Verde, which was awarded the Special International Award in this same edition. In partnership with IMPULSO and EVcharge, it has contributed to the deployment of the first national public smart charging network in West Africa, featuring 110 operational chargers and a customized digital platform that is transforming mobility across the archipelago’s nine inhabited islands.
This double recognition reinforces Etecnic’s commitment to sustainable mobility, energy transition, and innovation as drivers of change.
