The ninth edition of the European Electric Mobility Congress (CEVE 2025) closed its doors with a historic participation record and a clear message: electric mobility is already an unstoppable industrial and technological reality in Spain. More than 300 electromobility ecosystem professionals gathered on October 21st and 22nd at Mobility City, consolidating the event as the main forum of reference in the Iberian Peninsula.
AEDIVE Award for the Most Innovative Business Project
Etecnic Movilidad Eléctrica was recognized with the AEDIVE – Santiago Losada Award for the Most Innovative Business Project for its Smart Pricing in public charging initiative, a pioneering system that applies intelligence and automation to the electric bus charging process, optimizing times, energy, and costs. The award was presented by Isabel del Olmo and received by Jorge Ríos, CEO of Etecnic.
Smart Pricing: intelligence and efficiency in electric charging
Smart Pricing is Etecnic’s solution that allows generating smart, dynamic tariffs in real time, considering factors such as charger occupancy, energy cost, solar production, and battery status. Its algorithm optimizes consumption, improves profitability, and promotes a more efficient use of electrical resources, benefiting both users and operators.
Currently, the system is in its pilot phase at the ultra-fast charging HUB in Tarragona, where its capacity to smartly manage energy in high-demand environments and consolidate a more sustainable and connected mobility model is being validated.
Recognitions that consolidate leadership in innovation
One of the highlights of this edition was the live podcast broadcasts, where Jorge Ríos conversed with prominent professionals and institutional representatives of the sector.
The recognition at CEVE 2025 adds to a trajectory of awards that position Etecnic and Smart Pricing as references in innovation applied to electric mobility.
The initiative was already awarded at the International Mobility Awards, by Empresas por la Movilidad Sostenible, and selected as a finalist at The Smarter E Awards in Munich, one of the most prestigious international competitions in the energy sector.
Additionally, Etecnic was also distinguished with the TIC Catalunya Sud Awards, which highlight the most prominent technological solutions within the digital and sustainable ecosystem of southern Catalonia.
These recognitions reinforce Etecnic’s commitment to excellence, efficiency, and digitalization as the cornerstones of a smarter, more sustainable, and connected mobility.
Etecnic congratulates the rest of the entities distinguished in the AEDIVE 2025 Awards, whose work contributes in an exemplary manner to the development and consolidation of electric mobility in Spain. Among them, Mobility City, recognized for its institutional boost to sustainable mobility; María Manzano, for her outstanding communication and outreach work; and the 4Space Project, awarded for its excellence in university innovation applied to battery management and control.
CEVE 2025: innovation, industry, and collaboration
The congress brought together manufacturers, charge point operators, engineering firms, service companies, and public administrations to debate the challenges of transport electrification. Highlighted topics included high-power charging, heavy transport electrification, battery technology, and new business models linked to energy storage.
Furthermore, the event showcased the role of Aragon as the epicenter of electric mobility in Spain, with strategic projects such as the CATL and Stellantis gigafactory in Figueruelas and the arrival of new industrial companies linked to the sector.
