On June 25th, Etecnic had the honor of participating in the commemorative event for the 40th anniversary of the Institut Català de Finances (ICF), held at the Palau de Pedralbes. Our General Manager, Ramona Martínez, spoke as a panelist in the round table discussion “ICF, past, present and future”, sharing the stage with prominent figures from the economic and institutional spheres.

A key day for public financing in Catalonia

The event, which brought together more than 300 attendees, was presided over by the Most Honorable Mr. Salvador Illa, President of the Generalitat, who stressed the importance of the financial system with a resounding statement:

“If there is no good financial system, there is no economy that works.”

For her part, the Minister of Economy and Finance, Alícia Romero, highlighted the role of the ICF as a “lever for transformation”, and announced that 1,817 young people have already shown interest in the new Emancipation Loans, a line recently activated to facilitate access to first-time home ownership.

Etecnic, an example of green transformation and business innovation

During the round table, Ramona Martínez presented Etecnic’s experience as a leading company in electric mobility and energy transition, highlighting the strategic support of the ICF in innovation projects. She recalled that Etecnic received financing to boost its own network, which allows testing new innovation programs developed internally by the technical team.

This collaboration has been key to the development of technologically advanced projects and to consolidating Etecnic’s leadership in comprehensive charging solutions for electric vehicles, thus continuing the path towards a smarter, more sustainable, and more efficient mobility.

“Innovation is an essential element for SMEs, and financial support is vital to make it a reality”, Martínez concluded.

40 years of financial and social impact

With more than 37,000 companies and entities financed and a volume exceeding 16,000 million euros in loans, guarantees, and venture capital, the ICF has been a fundamental player for economic growth, territorial cohesion, and the promotion of transformative projects in Catalonia for four decades.

From Etecnic, we thank the ICF for its support of our long-term innovation projects linked to electric mobility, and we celebrate being part of this joint history towards a more competitive, green, and inclusive Catalan economy.
