Once again, Etecnic and EVcharge were present at the Smart City Expo World Congress 2025, held in Barcelona, the leading international event in urban innovation.
During three intense days, thousands of visitors stopped by booth D50, where we presented our latest solutions in smart charging infrastructure management, renewable energies, and technological innovation for electric mobility.

This year’s edition reaffirmed an unstoppable trend: the cities of the future will be smarter, more sustainable, and more connected —and electric mobility will play a key role in that transformation.

Participation in conferences and activities

Juanma Pérez, Business Unit Manager of EVcharge, gave a presentation at the Government of Catalonia booth, where he introduced the new Smart Pricing project. During his speech, he explained in detail the foundations and objectives of this initiative, which is based on a dynamic pricing system that leverages solar energy generation and artificial intelligence capabilities.

Jorge Ríos, CEO of Etecnic, participated in the panel discussion “Plug into the future” organized by Endolla Barcelona, where he shared his vision on how the charging network needs to evolve to keep driving electric mobility forward. He also highlighted the importance of adapting urban infrastructure to meet an ever-growing and diverse demand.

The meeting focused on electromobility and the need to adapt cities to respond to this growth. It brought together leading professionals from the energy sector, the automotive industry, and charging network management, who shared experiences and strategies to guarantee an efficient, accessible, and future-ready network.

EVcharge: technology for global electric mobility

During the event, attendees had the opportunity to learn firsthand about the EVcharge ecosystem, our SaaS platform designed for charge point operators (CPOs), e-mobility service providers (eMSPs), and companies requiring comprehensive infrastructure management.

Over the years, EVcharge has achieved major milestones:

  • Artificial intelligence, allows reducing operational costs by up to 85% and increasing charging sessions by up to 250%.

EVcharge APP: a smoother user experience

Our mobile application also took center stage.
We demonstrated the latest improvements that allow users to:

  • Find available charging points

  • Reserve them

  • Start and pay for sessions in two clicks

  • Check history and receive notifications

Additionally, we presented our white-label solutions, highly valued by companies looking to customize the charging experience for their customers.

EVcharge Totem: easy payment without registration

One of the most visited devices was the EVcharge Totem, our innovative payment system with an integrated POS terminal.
It allows users to:

  • Start a charge without needing an app

  • Pay instantly

  • Use it in both urban and private environments

Its modern and versatile design caught significant attention, as it can incorporate digital signage, city information, or advertising.
