The event, which included the participation of leading companies from the mobility sector and experts in the field, was attended by <strong>Jorge R\u00edos<\/strong>, CEO of <a href=\"http:\/\/etecnic.es\"><strong>Etecnic<\/strong><\/a>, who was able to learn firsthand the details of the plan. The importance of electric mobility in the future of the region was highlighted. With a total investment of 18.500 million euros for the 2025-2030 period, this plan represents a great opportunity for electric mobility and the energy transition of the region.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>A plan to boost the electric vehicle<\/b><\/h3>\n<p>The <strong>Electric Vehicle Boost Plan 2025-2030<\/strong> will mobilize more than 1,400 million euros until 2030<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, between public and private investments, for the expansion of electric vehicles in Catalonia. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">One of the main objectives is the creation of <\/span><b>9,000 new public charging points<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> until 2030, which will improve accessibility to the <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/etecnic.es\/mapa-de-recarga\">charging infrastructure<\/a><\/strong> throughout the Catalan territory.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The President of the Generalitat, <\/span><b>Salvador Illa<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, emphasized the importance of this transition: <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8220;To decarbonize the mobility sector, the solution is called the electric vehicle. There is no turning back.&#8221;<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Accompanied by Ministers Albert Dalmau, Al\u00edcia Romero, and Miquel S\u00e0mper, he highlighted the efforts of the automotive industry to democratize access to electric vehicles and reduce the cost gap with combustion vehicles.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>The plan establishes that by 2030 the following objectives will be achieved:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Double the pace of deployment of stations and charging points.<\/li>\n<li>Reach 90% electrification of the Generalitat&#8217;s fleet.<\/li>\n<li>Triple the penetration rate of electric vehicles and reach the European average.<\/li>\n<li>Increase knowledge about the benefits of electric vehicles among the target audience.<\/li>\n<li>Reinforce the value chain of the related Catalan industry.<\/li>\n<li>Establish and consolidate public-private governance.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Quantifiable objectives<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>That by 2030 there will be <strong>120,000 pure electric vehicles, 30,000 plug-in hybrids, and 30,000 electric motorcycles<\/strong> circulating in Catalonia.<\/li>\n<li><strong>180,000 registrations of electrified vehicles.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>470,000 tons of CO\u2082 savings.<\/li>\n<li><strong>9,000 new public access points owned by the Generalitat.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Measures<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u20ac380M to deploy charging infrastructures.<\/li>\n<li>\u20ac880M to boost the demand for electric vehicles.<\/li>\n<li>\u20ac10M to improve social perception.<\/li>\n<li>\u20ac135M to stimulate the industry and foster innovation.<\/li>\n<li>\u20ac10M to achieve efficient governance and management.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><b>LIDERA: a new operator for the execution of the plan<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">One of the fundamental pillars of the <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Pla Catalunya Lidera<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> is the creation of the operator <strong>LIDERA<\/strong>, an entity in charge of leading and executing the strategic investments of the plan. This measure will speed up the implementation of key infrastructures and guarantee the correct distribution of resources for the development of sustainable mobility projects, renewable energy generation, and industrial decarbonization.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>Objectives set by Europe<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This plan responds to the objectives set by the <\/span><b>European Union<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, which establish reaching a share of <\/span><b>40% of electrified vehicles<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, compared to the current <\/span><b>14.3% in Catalonia<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, and expanding the network of <\/span><b>charging points to 45,000<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, compared to the <\/span><b>9,000 public points currently existing<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To achieve this, the first axis plans an investment of <\/span><b>380 million euros<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> for the deployment of public charging infrastructure, including <\/span><b>150 million destined for 5,000 charging points<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> for the Generalitat&#8217;s fleet and <\/span><b>4,000 for public access<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Likewise, the second axis will mobilize <\/span><b>880 million euros<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to <\/span><b>boost the demand for electric vehicles<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. The <\/span><b>Institut Catal\u00e0 de Finances (ICF)<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> will offer two loan lines:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>200 million euros<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> for <\/span><b>self-employed workers and micro-SMEs<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> who want to purchase an electric vehicle.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>240 million euros<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> for the <\/span><b>electrification of business fleets<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">These loans, available in <\/span><b>2026<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, will have a repayment period of <\/span><b>six years<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and a limit of <\/span><b>60,000 euros per vehicle<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>The analysis of Jorge R\u00edos and Etecnic&#8217;s position<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">According to <\/span><b>Jorge R\u00edos, CEO of <a href=\"http:\/\/etecnic.es\/contacto\">Etecnic<\/a><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, the <em>Electric Vehicle Boost Plan within the <\/em><\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Pla Catalunya Lidera &#8211; <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> is <\/span><b>a very necessary and optimistic plan<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.
