In August, more than 16,000 electrified vehicle registrations were recorded, a 144% increase compared to the previous year. This means that one out of every four passenger cars sold is now electric or a plug-in hybrid.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Furthermore, <\/span><b>charging infrastructure<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> has transitioned from a complementary service to an essential one for mid- and long-distance travel. At <\/span><b>Etecnic<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, after analyzing the data from the <a href=\"https:\/\/evcharge.net\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">EVcharge platform<\/a>, we have identified three major trends:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Market consolidation<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Technological diversification<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Changes in user charging habits<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><b>Growth and consolidation of the electric charging market<\/b><\/h2>\n<p>Until a few years ago, finding a <strong>charging station<\/strong> was a rare occurrence. Today, they are part of the urban and highway landscape, experiencing impressive growth: between 2021 and 2025, the number of systems multiplied by fifteen.<\/p>\n<p>The network is now more robust, professional, and reliable, capable of absorbing demand peaks without collapsing. This advancement guarantees an <strong>efficient and secure charging experience<\/strong> for drivers of <strong>electric vehicles<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h2><b>Technological diversification: fast and ultrafast chargers<\/b><\/h2>\n<p>Over the last two years, we have seen a massive boom in <strong>fast and ultrafast chargers<\/strong> in Spain. Since 2021, fast charging points have multiplied by eight, and today they allow drivers to recover up to 250 km of range in less than 15 minutes.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This diversification addresses the varying needs of drivers:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Semi-fast charging<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> for urban vehicles.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Fast and ultrafast charging<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> for long-distance travel.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The strategic planning of the network must balance costs, demand, and user experience to optimize infrastructure deployment.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/etecnic.bisiestodeveloper.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/Captura-de-pantalla-2025-09-26-131120-1.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<h2><b>Changes in the habits of electric vehicle users<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/etecnic.bisiestodeveloper.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/IMG_9257-scaled-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Driver behavior has also evolved.
