Diagonal 22@ electrifies 79 of its 167 available parking spaces.
The electrification of parking spaces in office buildings is a key strategic point to continue the rollout of electric mobility and encourage the transition to electric vehicles. Comprehensive solutions for infrastructure electrification have become essential. Etecnic360, a leader in electric mobility solutions, has once again demonstrated its ability to tackle complex projects and deliver exceptional results. A clear example of this is the project carried out in the community parking facility of the Diagonal 22@ building in Barcelona.
Identification of needs, regulations and subsidies

The Diagonal 22@ building, which has a community parking facility with 167 spaces, required an electrification solution to support the transition towards electric vehicles for employees and users. The main challenge was to install the charging points without interrupting the operation of the parking facility, ensuring it remained fully functional throughout the execution process. In addition, the installation had to comply with the regulatory requirements of ITC SP 147:2024 (a regulation driven by the Barcelona Fire Department) governing safety in charging installations, while also meeting the deadlines set by the MOVES III incentive program.
The client’s challenge and objective
Vicky Peña, Deputy Director of the Communities Department at VM3Fincas, responsible for the electric mobility project on behalf of the client, comments:
“For us, this project represents a great opportunity, and we have approached it with great enthusiasm. We believe it will mark a turning point, as it will allow us to offer charging services to many parking users, making their daily lives easier.”
Regarding the challenge during the execution of the project, Vicky Peña adds:
“The main challenge for us was ensuring that the installation process did not interfere with the use of the parking facility, as we could not interrupt the operability of the infrastructure. In addition, we wanted to make sure the project was aligned with local regulations and that the MOVES III subsidy was used efficiently.”

Etecnic360’s value proposition
Etecnic360, with its extensive experience in parking electrification projects and electric mobility, provided a comprehensive solution, covering everything from initial consulting to pre-installation, commissioning, and post-installation maintenance.
Services provided:
- Consulting: Etecnic360 carried out a detailed analysis of the client’s needs and designed a customized solution for the parking facility, including technical documentation.
- Pre-installation for all 167 parking spaces: The infrastructure was prepared to support additional charging points in the future, ensuring the scalability of the system.
- Installation of 79 charging points: In the first phase of the project, 79 charging points of 7.4 kW were installed. These points were regulated to 4 kW in accordance with current regulations (ITC SP 147:2024, the regulation set by the Barcelona Fire Department).

- EVcharge Technology: The EVcharge management platform was implemented, enabling the management of charging points, user control, charge monitoring, and the administration of energy billing.
- Hierarchical system: Allows payments to be centralized at the owning company level.
- Access system with personal RFID card: In this private-use charger project, the chargers were activated with individualized RFID cards assigned per charger and parking space.
- 24/7 maintenance and remote support: The solution included long-term maintenance and a remote support service available 24/7, ensuring the continuous operation of the charging points
Vicky Peña highlights:
“Above all, we would like to highlight the professionalism with which you have accompanied us throughout the entire process. From the very beginning, you inspired us with confidence. Without a doubt, we will continue to count on Etecnic for future projects.”
Available power and smart management
The parking facility now has a dedicated 100 kW supply for electric mobility, allowing the available power to be managed efficiently through a smart management system. This optimizes the use of the electrical infrastructure, ensuring sufficient energy for all charging points without compromising the system’s efficiency.

The project was executed within the budget of €431,040.75, with a 70% subsidy obtained through the MOVES III program, which allowed for a significant reduction in cost for the client. In addition, the project was completed without interrupting the operation of the parking facility, which was a priority for both Etecnic360 and the client from the outset.
The charging system is designed not only to meet current needs but also to be scalable in the future, enabling an increase in the number of charging points as demand grows. The smart power management system also ensures that the infrastructure is maximized, optimizing the available resources.
Experience, closeness and commitment for a comprehensive electric mobility project
The electrification project of the Diagonal 22@ parking facility adds to other successful pre-installation and charging point installation projects in community car parks in Barcelona, such as those at Torre Inbisa and Núñez i Navarro.
Thanks to its comprehensive approach and the implementation of advanced technological solutions, Etecnic360 has succeeded in providing an efficient, scalable, and regulation-compliant charging infrastructure, contributing to the advancement of electric mobility in the urban environment.
This project not only meets the client’s expectations but also strengthens Etecnic360’s position as a leader in the electric mobility solutions market, demonstrating its ability to tackle complex challenges and deliver solutions tailored to the specific needs of each client.
